International Safety Media Awards (ISMA) is supported by Alaska Injury Prevention Center and is being held every other year. The first ISMA presented 10 years ago at Safety 2006 conference in Durban, South Africa.
Since then, hundreds of safety promoters have been honored for their safety media by an international panel of judges.
The 12th World Conference on Injury Prevention & Safety Promotion was held in Tampere, Finland 18-21 September 2016 and 4th ISMA winners announced on 21st of September during the closing ceremony.
This year over 100 pieces of media received from every continent including printed materials, campaigns, short and ultra-short videos.
We created and sent some ultra-short videos (around 1 minute long each) about children safety and motorcycle safety and one of them received the “Honorable Mention” Medal.
